i had applied for IEC code and the letter has been dispatched but i did not get it till now and my import consignment is waiting for delivery at the port, is there any way i can get the IEC code with my firm name online, so that i can move forward with the process. hope you will reply
Yes, you can download it from the DGFT website www.dgftcom.nic.in. click on the link "view you IEC - punch your IEC # and first three letter of your firm in the space provided. You can view and print out your IEC. In case you have applied on line / or submitted hard copy with RLA of DGFT you must have got ECOM / file #, approach the department where you have filed your papers for IEC. they will provide your IEC # and you can take a print of your IEC from the above
