Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether a contractor can claim Input Tax Credit (ITC) on a tractor purchased for business purposes. The consensus is that ITC can be claimed if the tractor is used for business, particularly in hiring or construction. The taxable value can be credited to the Plant & Machinery account.

You can take the credit and debit the taxable value in Plant & Machinery A/c

You can take ITC against the Tractor if will be used for business.

Yes certainly you can take credit provided you hv the business of hiring or construction business.
