I am trying to restore 4 files in my Tally 9 software but only 3 files are getting restored. While restoring 4th file it is showing "Exiting tally, incorrect version, data of incorrect version(9), can only run in version 8!".
point is if there is version problem, then how come other files are getting restored and opened.
the folder no. of the file not getting restored is 10001
Try changing the file number. Also try uploading the file into another system(if you have an extra system).

well, I have tried both the options but to no use. Tally support may turn out to be helpful.
Dear Sir,
Open Tally,
Close All the Companies in Tally.
at the company info screen i.e
Press CTRL + ALt + R .
And Select the Company which is not opening .
It Will ask for rewrite.
Say yes.
After the Rewrite Is Complete Please Check If Compnay Is Opening.
PS: Most Important - Please Take Proper Back up Before Performing Above Mentioned Steps.
