Quick Summary
This discussion explores the correct placement of loan amounts financed by a proprietor on their Balance Sheet. The core question is whether these amounts should be listed under 'Sundry Debtors' or 'Loans and Advances'. The argument is made that since financing is the business's primary activity, it should be treated similarly to trade debtors arising from sales.

Loans and advances

As financing is the business of assessee, hence should it not come under Sundry Debtors?

As in normal cases the balance of sale receipts comes under trade debtors.
