T.D.S is to be deducted either at the time of Payment or credit which ever is earlier as per  provision in Income tax act,1961.Payment here include both advance payment or payment after raising bill.So what is advance payment here?Whether it include advance payment made before provision of service or does it include payment after provision of service and before entry in books only?

In my case my client is making advance of rs 10 lakh for repair of BMW car?so whether TDS is to be deducted or not?

TDS is to be deducted at the time of payment or credit the bill whichever is earlier. If you are paying in advance against R&M then you have to deduct the TDS on Rs. 10 L.
