I have a manufacturing factory in Telangana State and also a power plant. due to some reasons we are not in position to Start manufacturing activity and hope to continue the same for some more time. mean while I am meeting employee salaries by selling power.
my question are
1. Shall I required to register in GST?
2 If required what will be rate of tax for sale of power, as the power is not covered in GST.

if u have a turnover of rs 12lakh then only u r required to register under gst , so u can continue ur manufacturing factory without get registration as long as turnover is below 20lakhs, however if u start manufacturing factory , register gst agents are may not buy from u because of reverse charge mechanism provisions, so it's better to register under gst once u start manufacturing even ur turnover is below 20lakhs , meanwhile not required, . levy of tax on power is under state , that vl be per unit basis , u required to register under electricity act for that
turnover is not 12laks it 20lakhs
