Reduction of Taxable Amount in TDS 26Q return

343 views 3 replies
Hi Experts,

One of my client has facing some issues where the TDS has been deducted in twice by the deductor in advance payment and invoice credits. Now the client is getting trouble to validate the gross receipts against the TDS in ITR. The gross receipts in 26AS is higher than the actual amount as per sales consideration during the year. in this case, can it be possible to revise the TDS return by the deductor to match the 26AS amount. If it is applied by the deductor, then he can get noticed by CPC for higher education of tax.

please guide which is best to apply on this without suffering any notice.

Thanks
Pradeep

Ask deductor to revise the return and no notice will be issued for higher deduction.
