I'm a businessman in Karnataka since many years. i had registered for Service tax in the year 2016.
But i haven't registered for Professional Tax till now.
My question is from which date shall I make payment of PT ??
can I claim benefit of karasamadana scheme of waiver of penalty mln fine?

If your income is more than 15000/- you need to registered under professional Tax in Karnataka , however some amendments were made form 1/4/2023 , so check out amendments and for benefits of Karasamadhana scheme by visiting Karnataka state commercial tax dept web site http // pt ,kar ,nic ,in . Many notices are received based on the service tax and GST registrations.
So if you have Service Tax Reg/ GST registration then you must enroll or Pay PT employer.
Since you have registered in 2016 , you must have enrolled for PT Employer from the date of service tax registration

Now PT salary limit in Karnataka is Rs.21000/pm.
Any employee more than 21000/ salary alone comes under PT.
But If you have earlier years comes under PT (,15000 salary limit), you need
file nil return monthly even now also.
