Please let me know the minimum threshold as far as salary income is concerned to be taxable.

Salary income below Rs. 200,000/- p.a. is not taxable.
W.e.f. Assessment year 14-15 if your salary income comes to Rs.5,00,000 then upto 2,20,000 will not be taxable and if your salary comes to more than Rs.5,00,000 then Upto Rs.2,00,000 will not be taxable.
