How can i complete the portions?

I have no excuses for not beginning studies for final exam earlier but at this 11th hour I am stuck and not sure of what to do.

I haven't prepared much for practical subjects. In fact not begun many, and just going through problems will not help. I have to practice and I hardly have time for that. I am worried if I shud just give one group.

My status of prep is as below. Do tell me if I shud just give one group or both:-

1)Accts- small chapters, amalgamation and a few portions of valuation. Rest are untouched.

2) SFM- Except derivatives almost done

3)Auditing- About 20%. Prof. Ethics not begun

4)Law- allied laws are pending and some portions of directors. Have to revise everything again

5)Costing- Haven't begun this subject

6) MICS- standards and act pending. have to revise rest. read it two months ago. don't remember anything now.

7) DT- about 40%

8)IDT- about 20%

Don't feel bad about it but all the best for the next attempt!!! yaar you must've studied the syllabus atleast once by now!!! there's not much time left even for a good revision.

Hi dhanya,

First Attempt is the Best Attempt. When you are writing your first attempt, you should be beaming with confidence. For confidence proper preparation and most importantly revision is very important.

Dont worry about what has happened.

In times like this, it is better to be practical and wise. So rethink....

I feel you can give a best shot next time in May 2011. Start preparing now itself.

sad..i was hoping i can do selective study of important portions and try my luck this time? can anyone help me with what to focus on..i surely can't complete everything..but .....using the Pareto analysis principle..some 80:20 principle shud work for me.?

Hai Dhanya Rose,

You have two options(forget about writing both groups this Nov..it is not an option at all). 1st option-prepare well & appear for both groups in May 2011(gud option). 2nd option-appear for 1 group this Nov(preferably 1^st group). I advise u to select the 2^nd option. Reasons..No1-You will study next 20-25 days intensively which u are not going to do if u postpone the exams..Reason No.2-Luck plays a major role in ca exams..u may get through..Reason No3-Even if you fail, it is not going to make ur position any worse. Reason No4-You will benefit from the experience of writing exams & do well next May. So go for it.
