Hi,

My client wants to surrender his GSTN ASAP. He is liable to file GSTR-9  but I didn't find the option to file the return on the portal. Is there any way to file it online ? If not, Can GSTN be surrendered  before filing GSTR-9. Please advice.

gstr 9 utility is still not available on portal.... yes the no.can be surrendered now itself....

you can surrender no. but you has to file final return as per sec 45

No ,....,Gstr 9 is not available on portal , you can surrender Your GSTN , but has to file Gstr10 (Fimal return)

As per section 45 read with rule 81 CGST Act the final return is to be filed within 3month from date of cancellation of GSTN
