Grocery purchase.

Hi, As I don't have much experience in tally, today I tried to to open personal account to monitor my daily transaction. The doubt for me is related to groceries.

my question is:

1, In personal account groceries comes under indirect expense or purchase?

2, in tally receipt, do I need to use purchase or payment for the entries?

Quick Summary
This discussion explores how to correctly record grocery purchases within accounting software like Tally and Zoho Books. The main question is whether groceries should be classified as an indirect expense or a direct purchase. Participants suggest that as groceries don't generate sales, they are typically an expense, recorded via journal entry for credit purchases or direct payment for immediate transactions.

Groceries are a different one.

Groceries is an expeneses, you are not generate any selling production with this product, this will generate energy to you, and with ths energy you can work and act, as per my point of View its an expenses only.

If you spend on credit basis, you journal entries, else direct payment entry for accounting this
