Exit from STP Scheme

Definitely varsha g......Now we have not any tax benifit in this scheme......if you wanna the exit from stpi scheme than you ask about this from own regional stpi director.......i thinks its better alternative is  of entrance in SEZ.....but now MAT ( 18% ) is levy on it.

I had the privelege to have a one on one with our regional STPI Asst. Director as we are also STPI unit. He opined that the coming 2012 budget might dole out some tax sops particularly to SMEs. But even if you opt out of STPI scheme, on export of software services you need to submit SOFTEX to them and charges will be as per designated figures.
