While GSTR 9 filing i found out in FY 17-18 excess tax had been paid can i adjust the same in present FY 19-20 or do i need to file the refund application. If so, what are the documents required to uploaded??

Actually i adjusted it against credit ledger, there is no cash ledger utilisation
