Hi

As per cenvat credit rules excise duty paid is eligible for set-off against payment of excise duty and also service tax.

Dear Sumit

Kindly check before availing the cenvat whether the input or capital goods purchased by paying excise duty is eligible for cenvat credit.  Capital goods or inputs should have been directly used for rendering of output service tax   is the basic rule to avail the cenvat credit.
