Hello Professionals,

I need someone who can guide me maybe talk with the issue mentioned below.

I recently received complete scrutiny notice for AY 2105-16. I field Belated ITR for the mentioned period and there was calculation mistakes in the ITR.

The major blunder I made was that I somehow deducted expenses twice in the ITR form and paid SAT(self assessment tax)  accordingly in dec 2016).  After 1 week I found out the mistake commited and paid remaing amount through SAT. Since this was belated return I could not file a revised ITR.

I think this lead to complete scrutiny of my case.

I have more deatils to share but I will first wait for experts to engage with this thread.

talk with assessing offcer pay tax and settle the matter

Hello Samir. Thank you your prompt response.

I am all in for paying Tax amount if any. I am just nervous this is my first interaction with tax officials. I also showed my sincerity by paying remaining tax after filing ITR. I hope that the ITO will consider this.

it is  due to lack of knowladge and not  confident

if u attain such kind of things u r experience will increase

and u will get a new to look for such things

so just attain it without fear

Samir I have followup questions. Since the ITO will ask for expense receipts (I work from home). what should i do for the following.

1. I claimed Rs.1250 per month as electricity expense for my computers. Since I do not pay bill separately, will the ITO reject this expense?

2. I have a Postpaid broadband connection required for work. I have missing receipts for 3 months but I have claimed the expense, will the ITO reject this expense?

3  I have received a sum of Rs. 72000 into my bank account from my father(overseas worker) which I did not show as income. but now I have lost the receipt of transaction, will the ITO add this to my income?

4. I have take and give transactions totaling Rs 20000, will the ITO consider this as income?

5. I have Rs. 23000 Net loss from equity trading which I dectucted as expense. Is this right?

you explain to ITO clearly. no problem
