Capital gain tax in case of senior citizens

hi, friends I have a query related to capital gain tax on senior citizens, senior citizens who does not have income other than fd's and interest received there on is invested in shares and capital gain tax thereon is taxed at what rate. for eg.: if a senior citizens has gain 1 lakh in a year by selling a shares how it will be taxed and what is way to get an exemption for capital gain tax. hopefully to receive an answer.

Long term or short term??
Hello sabyasachi it is short term capital gain tax and now the stcg is 1.50 lakhs. waited till date for proper answer.
