I have paid my father's hospital bill. I want to claim this amount in 80DDB. Can I exempt this amount from TDS Q4?
I have already exempted HRA, Travelling Allounce, 80C

Under 80DDB, individuals who are below the age of 60 years may claim INR 40,000 for the treatment for specified critical ailments for self and dependents. The same limit is INR 60,000 for senior citizens and INR 80,000 for very senior citizens.
Since Father comes in definition of dependent hence you may claim deduction subject to above specified limits.
It has no relation with 80C deduction.

- LTA
- Fixed Medical Allowance
Deductions:
- 80C
- PT
- 80DDB
Please let me know this calculation is right? I am confused because I am using NSDL Java Utility (RPU) for TDS Return and there is no option for 80DDB

Fixed medical allowance is not allowed as exemption anymore.
PT you mean professional tax.?
Yes, that is professional tax
PT will be deducted from salary and not under chapter VI A
put the amount of 80DDB in the Column No. 21 "Annexure II Salary Details" in RPU .

Question: I am deducting following 4 things from Taxable Amount (TDS) Annexure II (Salary Details) - column no 8
• HRA
• Transport Allowance
• LTA [ Leave Travel Allowance]
• Fixed Medical Allowance
Please let me know if these calculations are right? I am confused because I am using NSDL Java Utility (TDS_RPU) for TDS Return and there is no option for HRA, Transport allowance, LTA, fixed medical allowance deductions. So I am deducing these 4 options from my total salary.
