AY 2005-06, 06-07 refund not received - How to complain from net?

Respected sirs, my uncle's income from salary refund including Voluntary retirement compensation of AY 2005-6 and a 2006-07 has not been received till now. the town in which he worked and TDS got deducted is in another state. i have the SARAL form of both years with me (then it was not E-filed).

how can i report/ask for Refund using internet (although E-return is not filed but manually filed) as he has already submitted many letters to various officers in the local ITO and no action taken till now..

1) write to AO , where the return is filed, with copy to CIT, with copies of documents

2) submit reminder after two weeks

3) write to "incometax ombudsman" of your city, with copies of 1) & 2), give your contact number in letter

wait for 3-4 weeks for action to be taken by "incometax ombudsman"

Visit the respective AO in person and produce the ITR and bank account details. Wait for 3 Weeks . You'll receive the refund cheque.

There is a public greivance site on the income tax website, where in you can put forth ur greivance and also attach any PDF file, you can try using it (I have just heard of it and NOT used it personally till date). You can scan and attach the letters written by your uncle so far.

Income tax ombudsman is a good option as well, do attach all the relevant documents along with your letter.
