Cost and Management Accounting by CMA Abhijit Sengupta, Cost Accounting is the process of accounting for cost classification and analysis of expenditure. This helps in accurately ascertaining the total cost of any unit of production. Management Accounting involves effective planning for choosing among alternative business actions through the evaluation and interpretation of business performances. Paper 3 of CA Intermediate helps to develop an understanding of the basic concepts and the ways to establish the cost associated with the production of products and services and apply the same to determine prices, ascertainment of cost and cost accounting system, the various methods of costing. It also aids the aspirants in acquiring the ability to apply information for planning, control and decision making. CMA Abhijit Sengupta began his teaching voyage when he himself was a student. A topper in Tax at CA IPCC level, his passion for teaching was so intense that he chose this as his career. His Strive for Knowledge guided him towards International Certification and hence he did his CMA from USA. It is 19 years since he has been teaching students of CA, CS, CMA, CFA (India level), LLB, LLM, MBA, M.Com, XIth & XII Commerce and in the process has produced more than 50 Rankers.
An expert in Costing, Accounts and Direct Tax, he believes in knowledge based approach rather than exam based learning and according to him, logic is the key mantra which unlocks all the problems. No wonder his students call him by the name of ''THE LOGICIAN''
He has an inimitable style of teaching which captivates students and has received many accolades amongst his students as well as professional fraternity.
