Corporate and Other Laws by Prof Sudhir Sachdeva Paper 2 of CA Intermediate level is centered around the legal aspects involved in the forming, sustaining and conducting business of an entity. Herein, the students are familiarized with various provisions of the company laws and other laws so that they can accurately apply and analyze those provisions in an action-oriented environment. Special attention is given to The Companies Act, 2013- Sections 1 to 148. In this, the main topics covered include laws relating to the incorporation of a company, its registration, allotment of securities, share capital and debentures, declaration of dividends, the company's accounts, etc. 
The second part of this paper focuses on laws other than the Companies Act 2013 like the Indian Contract Act 1872, the Negotiable Instruments Act 1881, and the General Clauses Act 1897. This part also covers rules of interpretation of statutes and construction of deeds and documents. Thus, the paper aids in understanding the various provisions of select legislations and the rules for interpretating of statutes.
