In Group-1 of IPCC, one has already been familiarized with the fundamental concepts, including Accounting Standards and preparation of financial statements. In Advanced Accounting by CA D. G. Sharma, the ideas are dealt with in more detail such that the student is well equipped to solve advanced problems in the case of different entities. The paper is structured in such a way that it covers the remaining Accounting Standards that were out of the scope of Group-1 Accounting; practical problems based on the application of AS are also dealt with in detail. Herein, advanced issues in partnership accounts and limited liability partnerships are also covered. The paper further explores the various aspects of a Company Account: advanced problems for business acquisition, amalgamation, reconstruction, liquidation of companies, etc.

CA D. G. SHARMA is a Practicing Chartered Accountant. He has qualified the exam of all the three premier professional institutes ICAI, ICAI (Institute of Cost Accountants of India) & ICSI.
He has been teaching Accounts, Financial Management and Costing to CA students at Foundation (now CPT), Inter (now IPCC) & Final levels for the last twenty eight years.
