Head of Finance

Job Description

1) P&L Ownership & Margin Health: Maintain a hawk-eye view on Unit Economics. Track SKU-level profitability and ensure Contribution Margins (CM2/CM3) stay within target.
2) Inventory & Working Capital: Lead the "Open-to-Buy" (OTB) process. Monitor inventory ageing and liquidation strategies to ensure capital isn't trapped in slow-moving stock.
3) Multi-Channel Cash Reconciliation: Build robust systems to reconcile payouts from marketplaces, Shopify, and offline POS systems against logistics and gateway charges.
4) Cost Discipline: Conduct monthly "Leakage Audits"—from shipping overcharges to marketing ad-spend inefficiencies and vendor over-billing.
5) Tax & Statutory Compliance: Ensure 100% accuracy in GST filings, TDS, and Income Tax. Act as the primary lead for annual audits and secretarial compliance.
6) Budgeting & Forecasting: Create 12-month rolling cash flow forecasts to ensure we remain self-funded and ready for seasonal inventory spikes.

Skills Required

1) Chartered Accountant (CA) with a deep understanding of Indian indirect tax (GST) and retail accounting.
2) 5+ years in Retail, D2C, or E-commerce. You must understand the "Product-to-Cash" cycle in fashion.
3) You treat the company’s money like your own. You prefer automated systems over manual spreadsheets and focus on "Cash Flow" over just "Accounting Profits."
4) Expert in Tally and Excel. Familiarity with e-commerce reconciliation tools
