Assistant Manager- Taxation

Job Description

Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for monthly/quarterly and annual closing
• Preparing the MIS reports and Cash Flow forecast and conduct variance analysis
• Maintains and updates working knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including new filing practices, deadlines, and any company-specific information
• Assists with preparing annual financial records, including meeting deadlines and ensuring all financial practices and records comply with accepted accounting standards
• Monthly/ Annual tax deposition & returns – GST, TDS, Corporate Tax, PF, ESI
• Preparation and representation for assessments - Income Tax, TDS, Sales Tax, GST, VAT
• Compliance with statutory and regulatory norms – RBI, FEMA, FDI, TP, Applicable laws
• Company secretary – Governance, legal advice, maintaining company records & statutory register, convene AGMs/ meetings, keeping up to date with regulatory and statutory changes

Skills Required

The Assistant Manager – Taxation will be responsible for all indirect and direct tax, monthly closing, variance analysis, cash flow forecasting and related activities. Applies knowledge of tax compliance and tax accounting principles to oversee and prepare all company tax compliance reports, while reporting budgetary concerns and taxation effects of business decisions to company managers.
