31 March 2008 I need the defination of Staff welfare expenses & which expenses can be considered as Staff Welfare Expenses?

31 March 2008 it is wide term but u can debit all the exp. which are for the welfare of employees & can't be taken to any other specific head.

31 March 2008 There are no any definition for such type of expenses but we can easily assess the same.
Any expenditure for the benefit of employees apart from their salary is commonly known as staff welfare expenses.

Sec 115WB(2)(E)relates to Employees' Welfare Expenses

Regulate your accountal keeping the FBT provisions in view.

31 March 2008 Any expense which relates to welfare of staff or for banefit of staff including refreshment which could not be shown as any other head like salary should be Dr. to Staff Welfare Expenses
