08 July 2014 Dear Sir ,

Bill as follows :- Security Bill=19546.00
Service Tax 3.09% = 604.00
Total Bill Amount = 20150.00

Bill comes under Service Tax RCM .

So Kindly explain......

08 July 2014 As per ur explanation it seems to b a contract between u and the Security agency(correct me if i m wrong). So 194C will b attracted if:-

The amount Crosses(Gross Amount excluding Service Tax):-

Single Bill - Rs 30,000/-
In the Year - Rs 75,000/-

Rate:-

Individual/HUF - 1%
Others - 2%

But in ur case since it does not crosses the limit hence no TDS will b applicable.

08 July 2014 Yes thats what explained above. If the amount crosses 75K in the Financial Year then TDS will b deducted. TDS will b exclusive of Service Tax.

08 July 2014 Dear Sir,

Means I have to Deduct TDS on Basic Amount Rs.77207.00 @ 2% ?

Kindly Explain.....

08 July 2014 Are yaar y it should b 2 %? U have just said that the contract is with Proprietor (individual). Than what is the need of deducting @2%. It will b 1% on the Gross amount excluding ST.

So u must deduct TDS on Rs. 77,207/- @1%
