Limit of free allowances ?????????

08 January 2014 My uncle is going to USA and he will come back to INDIA after staying there for approx 45 days. Now my question is what is the maximum amount valued goods will be exempt from custom duty and other than this exemption limit whether he can bring with us a mobile phone or not ?????? also there is one laptop is exempt other than the original one ???? if cell is being used in USA after buying Will this also exempt or not ..??? if possible then please provide me the list of benefits . thank you

10 January 2014 One laptop computer (notebook computer) over and above the said free allowances mentioned above is also allowed duty free if imported by any passenger of the age of 18 years and above
