Income tax login id and password

13 July 2011 one of my client had registered for online income tax return in income tax site
but unfortunately he had not filled return in last year and in this year he has a refund now he wants to file the income tax return but he forgotten the password and he also not using the mail id which he had been provided during the registration

now how to get his password

please reply as soon as possible

14 July 2011 Mr.Ajay, you can find out the pass word using previous year acknowledgment number under forgot password option.

14 July 2011 you can send e- mail at ask@incometaxindia.gov.in along with login information and the site adminishtration will reset the password.

14 July 2011 It does not matter whether you file the return or not after registration.

If you have forgotten the password then opt for change in pass word and generate a new pass word. You will be asked the question of original creation and generally if is afternoon. If any other question which is favorable then that is to be filled and your account will be ready for filing the return for the current year.

15 July 2011 I WILL AGREE WITH MR. S S AGARWAL, HE WILL CHOOSE THE THE FORGOT PASSWORD OPTION AND LAST TO LAST YEAR HE HAVE FILE ONLINE RETURN , SO THIS ACKNOWLEDGEMENT NO. HE SAVE IT AND IT WILL BE PROCESS THE NEXT FOLLOWING THE RETURN. ALTHOUGH HE HAVE NOT FIND IT PASSWORD THEN YOU WILL CALLING CPC BANGALORE AND SOLVE THE NECESSERY STEP.
