From A.Y.2015-16 a new system has been implemented by the I.T. Dept i.e. transmitting the data in the return electronically under electronic verification code. Does it mean we have to give the Aadhar No in the Return and the Dept will be verify the number electronically and it is not required submit the verification of the return in Form ITR-V to CPC, Bangalore by Speed Post.

CBDT has introduced a new system of electronic verification code (EVC), where the assessee will not be required to send the ITR V to CPC.
How this system would work?
The procees will require the e-filer to register his Aadhaar number in the ITR after which the UIDAI database will send an OTP to the registered mobile number of the taxpayer which subsequently will have to be authenticated on the e-filing website.
If the assessee is not having Aadhar, he has to follow the same process by sending the ITR V to CPC, as followed earlier.
A New Form ITR 2A Proposed which can be Filed by an Individual or HUF who does not have Capital Gains, Income from Business/Profession or Foreign Asset/Foreign Income; In Form ITR 2 and the New Form ITR 2A, the Main Form will not Contain more than 3 Pages, and other Information will be Captured in the Schedules which will be Required to be filled only if applicable;
As the Software for these Forms is under Preparation, they are likely to be available for e-filing by 3rd week of june 2015;Time Limit for Filing these Returns is also Proposed to be Extended up to 31.08.2015.
