14 May 2014 I have given my Semster 6 exams..This May. I am pursuing BCom.(Accounts and Finance) waiting fr d result...can i go for Article ship? and can i register for IPCC? n if yes fr Article Ship..then how much pay should i get..Please HELP!!!

14 May 2014 Lavanhya u can register for IPC but after fulfilling certain criteria of ICAI. Visit the following link(FAQS on Direct Entry):-

U will get at least the minimum amount prescribed by the institute for serving as articles as under:-
1st Year - 1000 PM
2nd Year - 1250 PM
3rd Year - 1500 PM

Plz note that the above is the minimum amount.

14 May 2014 No in Direct Entry scheme u must complete 9 months of Articles before appearing to IPC exams. U can do ITT & OT training after registration to articles.

You may rather directly refer Regulation 45(1)(b)(ii)/(iii)

Dear Lavanya - my understanding of the regulations stated above is that you need to complete ITT/OTP before enrolling for articleship. You should verify the position with ICAI before taking any different position.

15 May 2014 Nikhil it is my personnel experience. My Brother is doing from the same scheme. Under Direct Entry u must have to complete 9 months of Articles before appearing to exams. And u must have to Complete ITT & OT training withing that time & U must have also complete the GMCS 1 within 1st year of ur articles.

15 May 2014 I know. U have shared that exp before. But as I said earlier too, ICAI guidelines are as stated above.
