Applicability of service tax on making charges of jewellery

06 April 2012 My client receipts comprises only of making charges on gold jewelery ornaments.

Ornaments are prepared by him and gold metal and jewellery design is provided by the retailer.

Is service tax applicable on such making charges.

06 April 2012 The service you referred to shall be taxable service under business auxilliary service

07 April 2012 Now a days all services are taxable and the category you have mentioned is also taxable provided your turnover doesn't exceed 10 lacs of rupees
