About new vat tin number

27 May 2013 Sir, I want to take new dealership of mobile handset. But They told me for getting VAT TIN no.. ? So Please tell me how much charges for that & What is the process online for that?

My Current purchase bills are not exceeding Rs.5 Lakhs. Is it compulsory to give deposit for above condition? Please help me.

02 July 2013 I WOULD SUGGEST YOU GET YOUR TIN NO ONLY WHEN YOUR SALES EXEEDS ONLY IF PART HEREUNDER IS APPLICABLE ON YOU

For the purposes of this section, the limits of 8[turnover of sales] shall be as follows:-
(a) Limit of 8[turnover of sales] in the case of a dealer,
Rs. 1,00,000.— who is an importer, and
the value of taxable goods sold or purchased by him during the year is not less than Rs. 10,000.
(b) 9[Limit of 8[turnover of sales] in any other case, where
Rs. 5,00,000].— the value of taxable goods
sold or purchased by him during the year is not less than Rs. 10,000.

14 July 2013 You have to file your application online for registration under VAT for which you require your PAN and address proof. There is cost for taking VAT registration and also requires deposit to be made which can be adjusted against your tax dues. Yes I agree with the expert but you have to give reference of one old VAT dealer for more than 3 years old to register you under VAT in addition to the experts comments
