Karnataka VAT Rate changes from 5% to 5.5% and 14% to 4.5% with effect from 1st August 2012 on

Yes Correct Mr.Raju,

its from 5% to 5.5% and from 14% to 14.5%.

The info on VAT Rate changes are given in all news papers on 28th July 2012.

Waiting for the notification from Karnataka Commercial Tax dept like u -- LOL

Iron & Steel will charge at 5.5%

As I know Iron and Steel comes under Declared goods under CST act, for which it clearly says that the rate should not exceed 5%.

Can anybody clarify this ?
