01 August 2016 Sir,

I have wrongly paid the self assessment tax for the A.Y 2015-16 as A.Y 2014-15 & got the receiept.The return for A.Y 2014-15 has already been filed.Sir if there is any remedy to claim back the payment wrongly made.Kindly guide

01 August 2016 you can request for reprocessing of the AY 2014-15 return after updating the tax credit to include the wrong challan. This should get you the refund.

And pay for AY 2015-16 tax again.
