17 October 2015 Welcome to all Caclubindia members, Dear Members, I hope that you will all resolve my problem by your advice. I want to sale one antique item to someone (foreign party). I am not an owner of item but a mediator. Buyer want to give me my payment by online transfer which amount is almost 10 Crore (Rs. 10, 00, 00,000). I have saving account. What will my tax and how will to pay my tax on this amount? In which head will go the tax in taxation. So tell me what I will do. I think this amount goes to capital gain but I am not sure. Also tell me what documents will be require for income tax department on my behalf Sandeep

17 October 2015 You are only a mediator and not owner hence the amount payable to you as commission will be treated as profit from business.
