28 November 2011 X, A DEALER OF DOGS, SELLS DOGS (AFTER BLEEDING OR BEFORE)FOR RS.10000. (HIS ANNUAL TURNOVER OF SALE OF THAT BUSINESS IS RS.1250000/-)

IS VAT APPLICABILITY ARISE IN THIS CASE.

IF RATE OF VAT @ 12.50 THEN CALCULATE THE VAT LIABILITY.

Sale of livestock i.e.animals except horses are exempt from VAT in Karnataka. You are in which state ?

i have another question that if the above question relates to buffalo, bull,tiger,cow, calf and circus elephant.

please give cralification separately.

Livestock is exempt from VAT in Uttarakhand also.Generally livestock means tamed animals such as sheep goat,cattle ,camels,buffaloes,poultry,horses and elephants(whether of circus or elsewhere).See schedule along with entry of meat.

Could you please tell that if in Karnataka I am selling horse what will be the rate applicable for same.

And if livestock is sold by any partnership firm will it be exempt in that case too?
