I want to Know if a company have no dress code(Same dress for all employees)can it give uniform allowance. If yes, can it be treated as exempted allowance 1250/- Per month as per income tax,if employee is producing clothing bill against it .

It's optional for the company to provide Uniform allowance. it depends upon company policy. If any employee get Uniform allowance it exempt at certain limit below whichever lower:- 1) Amt received from Employer 2) Bill for amt spend for uniform
