This query is : Resolved

13 December 2013 Dear Sir Kindly help me
My qwery is My client is a paralytic patient aged 62 years .He had a Fixed deposit amounting Rs 120000/- for five years from 2008-09 and no other source of income. He didn't have any Pan no niether he had filed any returns. The bank was deducting tax and my client didn't have any clue as the bank was not sending any tds certificate niether he could collect as he was paralysed .His son had filed a late return in this year since the FD matured after registering Pan in for his father but the return was a late return. Now we had collected all the TDS certificates from the bank.Is there any way to claim refund since its a late return and TDS information was not filled in that return

13 December 2013 its difficult. provisions are there under 119(2). but still it would be really costly and complicated. given that TDS would be around 10000 in total, its not worth chasing.
