23 August 2014 If it is necessary society should deduct TDS while making payment to contractor for installing terrace shed in FY 2011-12 OF Rs. 280000/- please help thanks. ..

Yes, society has to deduct tax.
If contractor is individual or huf @1% and 2% for others.
