13 November 2009 Whether tds is applicable for transaction (Freight)with Government company like Sail ,Tamilnadu minerals etc ,

14 November 2009 No, TDS is not deductible on freight( on road transport) paid after 01.10.09. so, govt company or pvt/ public company does not matter.
