24 July 2014 Sir, Our Unit is in Himachal pradesh from August onwards excise will be applicable to our pre mises My question is opening stock of exciseable goods with us on August is taxable for excise duty

24 July 2014 Yes you need to pay excise from august but on the laying stock you will take the cenvat credit.
