Sgst and sgst rate bifurcation

21 June 2017 Suppose GST Rate for any specific good is 18%(as decided by gst council)

As per GST Act SGST and CGST is applicable to all intra state supply of Goods and Services.

Now i want to know how i should bifurcate SGST and CGST in Invoice?

whether they both should be charged in equal proportion i.e. 9% of CGST and 9% of IGST or there is any other proportion ratio

Please guide me on the same with reference of clause/section/rule of Act.

21 June 2017 As per reply given in Twitter by the government sgst and cgst will be equal I.e 9% each as per your example

21 June 2017 To my knowledge this thing is not mentioned but if we refer tax under composition scheme which talks of rate in cgst is 1 than total it is 2 for manufacturer

21 June 2017 Yes it is not mentioned in the Act but the government has replied on the same on Twitter handle for GST

22 June 2017 For non composition dealers CGST and SGST is required to be charged separately at the rates decided by GST council in invoice.

I know i have to charged SGST and CGST separately on Invoice but what is rate for the same.

I have to charged 9% for SGST AND CGST or 18% for both(which is not appropriate because of that rate will come to 36%)
