29 December 2009 Sir,

I am working on Public Charitable Trust in Pune. We have to do some Building construction work.

So I would like to know service Tax on Construction on Building for charitable Institutes ?

29 December 2009 expenditure on construction of building if used for charitable purpose is considered as application of funds n thus exempt from income tax..i think service tax also will not b applicable as services are for charitable purpose..
