can a pharma company having manuf and trading business take credit of service tax on professional bills like audit bill.

Definition of Input service as defined under Rule 2(l) of CENVAT Credit Rules, 2004 specifically covers auditing services. Thus, if you are engaged in manufacturing of final goods and provision of exempted service, then you shall be entitle to avail CENVAT Credit of service tax paid on such auditing services in terms of Rule 6(3) of CENVAT Credit Rules, 2004.
