Dear experts,
we are a manufacturing company in Karnataka, we are suppose to get a service ( machinery repair) from an unregistered person located in Uttar Pradesh,
he is an expert in that particular machine repair, and we can't find any other sources within the state.
so, kindly guide us.
can we pay on RCM on interstate service. or any other way to get his service and account his bill.

sir, as I understand any supply of goods or services from interstate he has to get registered compalsarily under sec 24 of CGST act and he has raise tax invoice accordingly. pl clarify

Yes Manjunath, that vendor needs to get registration mandatorily since he is supplying interstate. But simultaneously, if your vendor is unregistered then you are required to pay GST under RCM.
Since, vendor has violated law you are not allowed to get relief. Agencies will take care of him. You should pay GST under RCM.
