if there is employer employee relationship between two persons and the employer grants a gift to his employee on his birthday or some special occasion exceeding the amt of Rs 1 lac then whether it will taxable under the head "salary" or the under the head "gifts" under section 56 ? so i would like to contemplate on the TOPIC GIFT Vs SALARY?
