Return of a.y. 11-12 filed twice by mistake ?

11 July 2012 Hello everyone,

i filed online returns of one of my client for a.y. 11-12 and 12-13. In both return i claimed refund of entire TDS rs.3000 and 4000 respectively.

However later client told me that he had already filed return of a.y. 11-12 manually.client has not received refund for a.y. 11-12.

what should i do now to rectify the above mistake ?

12 July 2012 If there is no difference between the two returns for AY 2011-12 then you need not do anything as the second return will be ignored by the department as I assume both are submitted as first return. If you want to change the return submitted earlier then you can file revised return provided the original return was filed within due date.
