Rental income transfer to mother

Father property transfer to son & Daughter after death of father.
following details mention In the will of father property that is property distributed to son & Daughter and rental Income received from daughter property should be transfer to mother as per will.
Then Tax liability on such rental Income applicable on Mother or Daughter.

03 February 2012 I am of the opinion that since the property shall be transferred to son and daughter, they are the legal owner of the property subsequent to the death of the father. Also payment of such rent to mother is a requirement of the will. For the limited purpose of Income tax, the income shall be taxed in the hands of the owner which is the son and the daughter.
