Relief u/s 89

18 December 2016 Hi Expert Greetings
One of my friend,whose return filled by me received compliance notice.And in intimation notice I.T, Dept.denies relief 89 of 1,04,074/-(Arrears salary). Hence the outstanding shown by dept.
1)What should he do ?
2)How I can rectify online.Please oblige us by giving your valuable guidance.

18 December 2016 You have to upload xml by filling 10E declarations and than file return u/s89 file online return.

18 December 2016 Sir,he is having 10 E declaration and I filled that amount on I.T.site while filling return.And if you please tell me about how to upload XML for 10E declaration.

18 December 2016 While filing return excel utility you got option to fill 10E details than generate xml, same to be uploaded online.
