01 November 2012 A PUBLIC SECTOR UNDERTAKING HAS 15 BRANCHES IN INDIA.HE IS LIABLE FOR PAYMENT OF SERVICE TAX. I WANT TO KNOW THAT WHETHER COMPANY REQUIRED SEPARATE SERVICE TAX REGESTRATION NUMBER FOR EACH OF ITS BRANCHES.

If accounting is done centralised then no need to do decentralised registration, but if it is de-centralised then you should register for each location
